Why zirconium crowns?
In the hands of an expert dentist, zirconium crowns can look like real teeth. Their foundation is metal, the color of real teeth (zirconium), to which porcelain (ceramics) is applied. Zirconium crowns conduct light better. This can lead to a huge aesthetic difference between zirconium and metal and ceramic crowns, for which the foundation is made from gray metal. Zirconium crowns are harder and more durable than natural teeth.

The production process
In case you’re interested in zirconium crowns, we’ll schedule you an appointment to see whether you’re the right candidate for the procedure. To ensure your smile lasts for as long as possible, we’ll need to take a look to see whether some additional preparation is required for your teeth or the tissue surrounding them. After this, we’ll create a detailed therapy plan, explain anything you don’t understand and answer any questions you may have. If you decide to put your trust in us and get your crowns done in our clinic, the final step is to prepare your teeth for the zirconium crowns and take an impression of your jaw in order to send them to the dental laboratory.
An example of zirconium crowns on both jaws
Our patient’s smile before and after installing ceramic and zirconia crowns on both jaws. The final result exceeded all of our expectations. Do you like it, as well?
There, a technician will import your jaw impression to a computer, using a special procedure and a 3D scanner, and make a model of the zirconium foundation. This will, in turn, be made on the CAD-CAM micro lathe machine, which will guarantee a high precision of production so that your zirconium crown will fit on your tooth perfectly (no more leftover food getting in there, it’s easier to keep proper hygiene and no unpleasant odors).
After this, we will test the foundation in your mouth and ensure it was made according to precise specifications and, if we’re satisfied, a dental technician will apply the ceramics and, with fine brushes, apply coloring so that your new tooth would look natural. If you have any special requests regarding the shape or color of the tooth, we will go out of our way to meet your expectations, so that you can leave our clinic with a smile on your face!
Aesthetic improvement of your teeth after zirconium crowns have been set
We offer your teeth aesthetic improvement right after we’ve set the zirconium crowns. These crowns are one of the most popular dental augmentations today. In the hands of a skilled dentist or technician they can look just like real teeth. Their foundation is metal, the color of real teeth (zirconium), to which porcelain (ceramics) is applied. Light conductivity of ceramics based on zirconium is precisely what makes the aesthetics of zirconia crowns superior to metal and ceramics crowns, which have a gray metal foundation.
